The Echuca Moama Beacon Foundation is managed by a Board consisting of representatives from the schools, businesses and the community with the vison: Young People, Real Futures, Our Responsibility. The five Beacon schools are Echuca College, Echuca Specialist School, Moama Anglican Grammar , River City Christian College and St Joseph’s College.

In 2014, CCLLEN took on the new role of delivering the program for the Echuca Moama Beacon Foundation. The main goal of the program, was to assist our local secondary students secure positive pathways to further education, training or employment post school.

The Echuca Moama Beacon Foundation is a community owned model and has a firm belief that a whole community must be embraced to assist young people to build a bright future. CCLLEN is proud to support the Beacon program both in kind and with staffing.

Introducing Cath Elms, the Echuca Moama Foundation's Project Manager

Cath was appointed as the Beacon Project Manager, following on from Jane Reid who coordinated the program for several years.

Position Description:
The Beacon Project Worker is responsible for the delivery of the Echuca Moama Beacon Foundation Program in Echuca Moama.

The Project Worker is an employee of the Campaspe Cohuna LLEN and reports to the Echuca Moama Beacon Foundation Board on delivery of the program. The Project Worker works with the Beacon coordinators and Beacon Student Leaders at each school. Echuca College, Echuca Twin Rivers Specialist School, Moama Anglican Grammar, River City Christian College and St Joseph's College.

Major Objectives: Delivery of the elements of the Beacon program as listed below –

  • Student leadership development day
  • Business breakfast (or other business event)
  • Pathways Pledge ceremony
  • Interview Technique Session
  • Mock interviews
  • Careers Expo
  • Annual General Meeting
  • End of year celebration
